School report presented
The annual report to the public of the Pea Ridge School District was presented Monday.
The assessed valuation in the district has increased from $81,568,560 in 2008 to $99,123,910 in 2017. The school budget is $25,647,420.03 based on a $67 projeted increase from the state per pupil. Student enrollment is 2,034.
The Pea Ridge School District covers 53 square miles and has a total bonded debt of $20,845,000 with 19.8 debt service mils and a total of 44.8 mils.
In other business, the board approved:
• transfer of Celeste Vanaman from 6th-grade social studies to 7th- and 8th-grade math;
• resignation of Maggie Weeks, 7thand 8th-grade math teacher;
• a resolution to change the date of School Board elections; and
• three out-of-state trips — PRMBA to Pitt State, the FCCLA to a cluster meeting in Washignton, D.C., and Gifted and Talented to Missouri Southern.
