St. Michael’s Ortho­dox Church to host fest, car show

St. Michael’s Ortho­dox Church, Jermyn, is pre­par­ing for its eighth an­nual Christ­mas in Septem­ber Fes­ti­val and Car Show set for Fri­day, Sept. 22, to Sun­day, Sept. 24. The fes­ti­val will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Fri­day, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Satur­day, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sun­day. It will fea­ture nearly 25 ven­dors, face paint­ing, chil­dren’s ac­tiv­i­ties, a designer purse raf­fle, more than 150 theme bas­kets, Christ­mas desserts, Christ­mas cook­ies, cakes, nut rolls and home­made bread. Food will in­clude potato pan­cakes, piero­gies, stuffed cab­bage, Man­hat­tan clam chow­der and more. Mys­tic Rulers Live Band will play on Fri­day, the Billy Erd­man Band on Satur­day and the 8 Piece Jef­fery James Band on Sun­day. The Faith Ann Li­uzzo School for the Per­form­ing Arts will per­form at 2 p.m. Satur­day. A clas­sic car show will be­gin at 8 a.m. Sun­day. With many prizes, call Dan at 570-677-2615 to en­ter your car. The fes­ti­val will be on the grounds of St. Michael’s Cen­ter, 403 Delaware Ave., East Jermyn, off Exit 5 off the Casey High­way.
