Fine players, owners

The Times-Tribune - - Editorial -

Editor: Media outlets reported that the Pentagon paid $6.8 million to professional sports teams between 2012 and 2015 for “paid patriotism,” including on-field color guard performances, re-enlistment ceremonies and performances of “God Bless America.”

Joe Walsh, a former Republican congressman from Illinois, recently reacted to singer Stevie Wonder kneeling before a Central Park performance by calling him “another ungrateful black millionaire.”

I blame the owners in the football protest controversy. When players won’t stand for the national anthem, they should stay in the locker rooms
