Part of public record

The Times-Tribune - - Editorial -

Editor: I write in response to a letter from Lackawanna County Commissioners Patrick O’Malley and Laureen Cummings (“Miffed by publicity,” Nov. 2) regarding The Times-Tribune publication of photos of properties owned by the commissioners during a series the newspaper printed about property reassessment.

Two days prior to a reassessment referendum meeting that Cummings hosted on Nov. 2 in Dickson City, I looked up the property of each of the commissioners online. It is public information on the county website.

I was curious about their property assessments, compared to similar properties. JUDITH SENKOWRICHARDS DICKSON CITY
