David Louis Kurilla, 60, Olyphant, died Thurs­day at Geisinger Com­mu­nity Med­i­cal Cen­ter, Scran­ton.

Born in Olyphant, son of the late Joseph and Kathryn Doyle Kurilla, he was a grad­u­ate of Mid Val­ley High School and a vet­eran of the United States Army. David was em­ployed as a car­pen­ter with the Es­gro Con­struc­tion Co., Jes­sup.

Sur­viv­ing are a son, David, Dick­son City; three broth­ers, Allen Kurilla, Olyphant, Roger Kurilla, Throop, and Ken­neth Kurilla, Olyphant; two sis­ters, Rhonda Zuraski, Mont­dale; and Su­san Cicci, Eynon.

He was also pre­ceded in death by four broth­ers, Joseph, Daryl, Richard and Dwayne Kurilla; three sis­ters, Ethma Gyari, Kathy James and Priscilla Tratthen.

Friends may pay their re­spects Mon­day from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Michael Wargo Jr. Fu­neral Home, 812 E. Scott St., Olyphant.

Ser­vices and in­ter­ment are pri­vate at the con­ve­nience of the fam­ily.
