Juanita M. (Tate) Gray, 80, of Zephyrhills, Fla., formerly of Susquehanna, passed away peacefully in her sleep with her loving husband, Howard, by her side on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018.
Tate was born on Nov. 25, 1938, in Glenwood, Pa., to parents Clifford (Pete) and Maryellen Compton. She was predeceased by her parents; former husband, James Sherman Sr.; sister, Mae Eckhart; brother, Gary Compton; and grandson, Brian Sherman.
She retired from a career that she took great pride in with Susquehanna County Transportation.
Tate will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Howard Gray Sr.; sons, James (Bonnie) Sherman Jr., Richard Sherman and Howard Gray Jr.; daughters, Amy (Jeffrey) Lesek, Neen Bracey and Susan Conway; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind siblings, Raymond (Tina), Arthur (Gerry), David (Sandy), Kasandra, Christopher and Lynn Compton and Cindy Buono; many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will take place at a later date.
