Juanita M. (Tate) Gray, 80, of Ze­phyrhills, Fla., for­merly of Susque­hanna, passed away peace­fully in her sleep with her lov­ing hus­band, Howard, by her side on Wed­nes­day, Aug. 1, 2018.

Tate was born on Nov. 25, 1938, in Glen­wood, Pa., to par­ents Clif­ford (Pete) and Maryellen Comp­ton. She was pre­de­ceased by her par­ents; for­mer hus­band, James Sher­man Sr.; sis­ter, Mae Eck­hart; brother, Gary Comp­ton; and grand­son, Brian Sher­man.

She re­tired from a ca­reer that she took great pride in with Susque­hanna County Trans­porta­tion.

Tate will be lov­ingly re­mem­bered by her hus­band, Howard Gray Sr.; sons, James (Bon­nie) Sher­man Jr., Richard Sher­man and Howard Gray Jr.; daugh­ters, Amy (Jeffrey) Le­sek, Neen Bracey and Su­san Con­way; seven grand­chil­dren and five great-grand­chil­dren. She also leaves be­hind sib­lings, Ray­mond (Tina), Arthur (Gerry), David (Sandy), Kasan­dra, Christo­pher and Lynn Comp­ton and Cindy Buono; many spe­cial nieces, neph­ews and cousins.

A me­mo­rial ser­vice will take place at a later date.
