Youth Shel­ter uses grant for af­ter-school teen cen­ter

The NEPA Youth Shel­ter was re­cently awarded a grant from the Scran­ton Area Com­mu­nity Foun­da­tion. Ex­ec­u­tive Direc­tor Mau­reen Ma­her-gray pur­chased sup­plies and equip­ment for the After­school Teen Drop-in Cen­ter, known as HQ, lo­cated at 541 Wy­oming Ave. The cen­ter has cre­ated a minirecord­ing stu­dio for emerg­ing singers and song­writ­ers, as well as a wide va­ri­ety of art sup­plies.
