Wyoming Seminary canceled virtual and in-person classes Friday at both its campuses after learning a Lower School staff member tested positive for COVID-19.

The school contacted the state Department of Health and is following guidance from the state, according to an email from Director of Communications Jill Snowdon. The employee who tested positive has not been in the Lower School building for several days and is quarantined. Because of preliminary tracing, another employee will also quarantine for 14 days.

The school canceled activities and classes at both campuses because “of our closely connected campuses and out of an abundance of caution,” Snowdon said. The Upper School is in Kingston, and the Lower School is in Forty Fort.
