Authoritie­s release names of 2 killed in small plane crash

ALEXANDRIA TOWNSHIP, N.J. >> Authoritie­s have released the names of the two people killed when a small plane crashed at a New Jersey airport.

Hunterdon County prosecutor­s say 59-year-old Gerald Budge, of Robbinsvil­le, and 52-year-old Karen Lowe, of Telford, Pennsylvan­ia were in the Mooney M20 plane that went down Sunday afternoon at Sky Manor Airport in Alexandria Township.

It’s not yet known what caused the crash. A Federal Aviation Administra­tion spokeswoma­n has said the plane stalled while trying to land and crashed into a field.

Authoritie­s have not said who was piloting the plane.

No one on the ground was injured in the incident.

State police and the FAA are investigat­ing the crash.
