Michael “Mickey” S. Tyrell, 80, of Hamilton passed away Sunday at home.

Born and raised in Bordentown, Michael was a Hamilton resident for the past 32 years. He was a Graduate of Trenton Catholic Boys High School Class of 1955 and was a U.S. Army veteran. Mickey retired from General Motors, Trenton, and was previously employed with John A. Roebling Sons Co., Roebling. He was a parishione­r of St. Mary’s Parish, Bordentown, a member of the Bordentown Elks Lodge # 2085 for 59 years, and VFW Post # 491, Yardville. He loved watching sports, especially football, on TV, was an

avid horse racing fan and, in his earlier years, travelled to most of the major sports stadiums and horse racing parks in the US.

Son of the late Thomas J. and Mary A. Moran Tyrell, brother of the late Thomas Tyrell, John Tyrell, Rosemary Delaney, Clare Gagne, Janet Tyrell, Doris Delaney and Martin Tyrell and step-father of the late Charles W. Blakey, he is survived by his

wife of 32 years Beverley Kovacs Tyrell, and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 AM from Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton (www.Kingstonan­dKemp.com). Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown.

Interment will follow at Bordentown Cemetery, 210 Crosswicks Rd., Bordentown.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday from 8:30 to 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
