Po­lice seize $11K worth of opi­oids in Tren­ton raid

TREN­TON » A city man was ar­rested ear­lier this week when po­lice raided his home and seized more than $11,000 worth of opi­oids.

Jose San­ti­ago, also known as King Si­lence, was the tar­get of a month-long in­ves­ti­ga­tion by the county nar­cotics task force, which raided his Beatty Street home around 2 p.m. Tues­day.

po­liceJose Dur­ing the raid, seized 574 Oxy­Con­tin pills, a half-pound of mar­i­juana and $262 in cash.

The ap­prox­i­mate street value of the Oxy­Con­tin is $11,480. The street value of the pot is $2,000.

San­ti­ago, 26, is charged with sev­eral drug pos­ses­sion and dis­tri­bu­tion of­fenses. He was re­leased from cus­tody pend­ing fur­ther court pro­ceed­ings.
