Ice Cream Tus­sle with a Cop: Jonathan Pacheco-Sanchez, 35, was charged with strong-arm rob­bery and ad­di­tional of­fenses af­ter he al­legedly stole mer­chan­dise from Food Bazaar on South Clin­ton Av­enue Tues­day night and then fought a city cop. Of­fi­cials say a cop work­ing a se­cu­rity job at the su­per­mar­ket saw Pacheco-Sanchez flee the store af­ter loss pre­ven­tion per­son­nel re­ported that he stole mer­chan­dise. Pacheco-Sanchez re­fused or­ders to stop run­ning, ac­cord­ing to of­fi­cials who say he tossed some stolen items as the chase con­tin­ued onto Walk­lett’s Al­ley. When the of­fi­cer even­tu­ally caught up to him, of­fi­cials say, Pacheco-Sanchez pushed the cop onto the ground, which sparked a lengthy strug­gle. Even­tu­ally, as­sist­ing of­fi­cers ar­rived and helped ar­rest him. When po­lice searched Pacheco-Sanchez, they al­legedly found a box of ice cream hid­den un­der­neath his sweat­shirt, as well as three hy­po­der­mic nee­dles and a steak knife. The items he tossed turned out to be a wa­ter bot­tle and an empty pro­tein shake bot­tle. The of­fi­cer who chased Pacheco-Sanchez suf­fered con­tu­sions to his hand and fore­arm. No other in­juries were re­ported.

At­tack on Po­lice: An­drea Car­son, 25, was charged with throw­ing bod­ily flu­ids at po­lice af­ter she al­legedly spit in a cop’s face while be­ing trans­ported to the hos­pi­tal for med­i­cal treat­ment. Of­fi­cials say Car­son was ini­tially ar­rested Tues­day morn­ing for sim­ple as­sault and false im­pris­on­ment, but later re­quested treat­ment at the hos­pi­tal. Of­fi­cials say Car­son was in hand­cuffs and be­ing wheeled out of po­lice head­quar­ters by med­i­cal per­son­nel and cops when she be­came er­ratic. When po­lice tried to shackle her legs, of­fi­cials say, she spit in one’s face.

Heroin and Cash: Kameron Smith, 21, was ar­rested af­ter po­lice al­legedly found him in pos­ses­sion of 100 decks of heroin and $766 in cash, which was seized as sus­pected drug pro­ceeds. Of­fi­cials say Street Crimes Unit de­tec­tives were pa­trolling the 1000 block of Ge­ne­see Street around 7:20 p.m. when they saw Smith quickly park a car and run clutch­ing an item in his hand. When Smith saw cops, of­fi­cials say, he dropped the item, which turned out to be heroin. Cops also found more heroin in the car.

Shoplift­ing: Some­one in a sil­ver truck with Virginia plates stole a log split­ter from Home De­pot on North Olden Av­enue and fled the store be­fore po­lice ar­rived.

Wanted: Wil­liam Perry, 31, was ar­rested in con­nec­tion with out­stand­ing war­rants dur­ing a bur­glary in­ves­ti­ga­tion on Stuyvesant Av­enue.

Prince­ton

Airbnb Scam: A woman told po­lice some­one falsely posed as the owner of a property for rent on Airbnb and con­vinced her hus­band to wire trans­fer $5,412 to a fraud­u­lent ac­count.

Shoplift­ing: Two sus­pects work­ing as a team stole a de­signer hand­bag and three de­signer wal­lets, val­ued at a to­tal of $3,335 from Zoe on Nas­sau Street.

Wanted with Drugs: Ren Omar Guz­man-Gar­cia, 23, of Tren­ton, was found to be in pos­ses­sion of mar­i­juana and drug para­pher­na­lia when cops stopped him for driv­ing a ve­hi­cle that hadn’t been in­spected by the state. Guz­man-Gar­cia was also wanted in con­nec­tion with war­rants is­sued by Tren­ton PD.
