Tem­ple Hills fire claims one fa­tal­ity

A man has died as a re­sult of a fire Satur­day morn­ing in Tem­ple Hills.

Of­fi­cials from the Prince Ge­orge’s County Fire/EMS Depart­ment said the blaze oc­curred about 5:30 a.m. in the 2700 block of Fair­lawn Street.

Fire­fight­ers found a fire in a two-story, brick-style, sin­gle-fam­ily dwelling.

Fire­fight­ers made an ag­gres­sive in­te­rior at­tack and dur­ing their searches found a man in­side. Med­i­cal per­son­nel pro­vided life sup­port and trans­ported the pa­tient to an area hos­pi­tal in crit­i­cal con­di­tion. The man has since died.

The cause of the fire is un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

Of­fi­cials have not re­leased the name of the vic­tim.
