The Washington Post Sunday - - SC4 -

Kevin Love was having one of those unforgettable nights on the basketball court. Flip the calendar back to Nov. 12. Minnesota’s center/forward kept swishing shots, crashing the backboards and bashing the New York Knicks. Result: 31 points and 31 rebounds.

As of early December, Love’s season average was 19.0 points and 14.9 rebounds per game.

Son of former NBA player Stan Love, Kevin was a student of the game as a youngster. He studied tapes of greats like Michael Jordan and David Robinson. Later he became an All-American at UCLA, then turned pro in 2008 after his freshman year in college.

Now, in just his third NBA season, the big man is playing like an old pro.
