We support bag checks? Please.
Metro is disingenuous to suggest that the fact that “no customers to date have refused to have their bag searched,” as Capt. Kevin Gaddis of the Transit Police put it, should be construed as “supportive” public opinion [“Metro bag searches criticized by public,” Metro, Jan. 4]. Get real! Just because we have to abide by this doesn’t mean we all merrily support either the “guilty until proven innocent” doctrine or the actual train-missing delay. Don’t patronize me, Metro. I yield to your “security theater” because I want to get to work, period.
