Who’s in the chim­ney? An owl, that’s who.

ALEXAN­DRIA, Tuck­a­hoe Lane, 1100 block, Dec. 22. An owl came down a chim­ney at a res­i­dence, then flew out of the fire­place and into an up­stairs bed­room.

An an­i­mal con­trol of­fi­cer found the barred owl on a dresser. The bird, which had done some dam­age to the home, was cap­tured and re­leased into the wild. Two small pet dogs were found un­harmed in a liv­ing room corner. Among cases han­dled by the An­i­mal Wel­fare League of Alexan­dria
