Suzanne N. Cook, 64, who spent 27 years as an ad­min­is­tra­tive as­sis­tant with Columbia Gas Sys­tem, died Dec. 11 in Las Ve­gas af­ter a heart at­tack.

In the late 1980s, while work­ing for Columbia Gas Sys­tem, she be­gan a side busi­ness called Amer­i­can Nan­nies that she owned and op­er­ated for about 15 years.

She moved to Las Ve­gas from Bethesda in 2003 and, at the time of her death, was work­ing for a mar­ket­ing com­pany in Las Ve­gas.

Suzanne Naymick was born in Washington and raised in Oxon Hill, where she grad­u­ated from Ox­onHil­lHigh School.

She was a past mem­ber of the Bethesda-Chevy Chase YMCA.

Her mar­riage to War­ren Brown ended in divorce. Her sec­ond­hus­band, Joseph Cook, pre­de­ceased her. Their son, Joseph Cook Jr., died in 1996.

Sur­vivors in­clude a sis­ter.
