How they met: The couple met at Bucknell College through mutual friends in 2002. Even before their first date— dinner and a rented movie --Ben thought Abby was a knockout and admired her commitment to fitness (they often saw each other at the gym).

The proposal: The couple went to New York City for Memorial Day weekend in 2009, supposedly to visit Ben’s brother and a college friend. Ben took Abby for a walk along the Hudson River. Along the way he pulled out a scrapbook they had made of their lives together so far and said there was one question he had to ask her. It took a surprised Abby a minute or two to say yes.

The wedding: Decorations for the fall themed party included pumpkins with the bride and groom’s initials carved into them. At the altar, Abby followed the advice from a client who told her to take in the moment and notice all the people surrounding her whom she loved and who loved her.

The honeymoon: Though he knew Abby wasn’t fond of traveling, Ben thought he could push her comfort level and planned a trip to to Paris, Lake Como and Venice. On the first day, Abby announced she wanted to go home; Ben succeeded in calming her down and by the next day, she said she never wanted to leave.
