A better Sunday Post
You may have noticed that we have made several changes to your Sunday Post, which started last weekend. We added new content and sections designed to bring you more news and features about arts and culture. The new sections complement the wide range of politics, sports, local, national, international news and opinions you expect from the Sunday Post. Also, we are now delivering a robust new package of Sunday feature sections— Arts, Travel, Sunday Style, KidsPost and Comics— a day early, on Saturday, to give you more time to enjoy your Sunday newspaper. The changes are explained in detail on page E7, inside the new Arts section. But here is a quick summary. The first change you may notice is the separation of the old Sunday Arts & Style section into two expanded sections, Arts and Sunday Style.
SUNDAY STYLE Pop culture news and reviews in a compact and portable size. Movies, TV, pop music and two new columns: Dealhunter, on hot shopping deals, and Web in Sites, on Internet trends. Also The Scene, a new gallery of photos from the D.C. social scene, plus new reviews of pop culture books, wedding coverage in On Love, advice columns by Carolyn Hax and Amy Dickinson, Celebritology and the Style Invitational. ARTS An expanded section focused on theater, art exhibits, opera, dance, classical music, architecture and museums with more news from local arts institutions and book reviews focusing on the arts world.
KIDSPOST SUNDAY Our popular weekday KidsPost feature is now in the Sunday paper, too, in the form of a new four-page section for our younger readers that is filled with stories, puzzles, jokes and even a few recipes. KidsPost comes inside the Sunday Style section. BUSINESS A revamped section, which still arrives on Sunday, features more coverage of local and national business and economic issues, including analysis and profiles of industry leaders, plus columns focused on personal investing and advice.
THE COMICS The Comics now arrive in the early Saturday features package, wrapped by KidsPost inside the
Sunday Style section.
TV WEEK There has been no change to TV Week delivery. Subscribers who get TVWeek will continue to receive it. WASHINGTON POST MAGAZINE The PostMagazine, Parade and hundreds of dollars worth of discount shopping coupons will continue to arrive on Saturday in the familiar plastic pack.
SUNDAY-ONLY SUBSCRIBERS If you are a Sunday-only subscriber, you will receive all the new Sunday sections at no extra charge. You do not need to alter your subscription in any way. In most cases, your carrier will deliver the new early Sunday features package on Saturday. In some cases, especially in outlying areas, it will arrive on Sunday.
