Luise A. Lein­bach, 86, a teacher from 1967 to 1983 with the Mont­gomery County As­so­ci­a­tion for Re­tarded Cit­i­zens, died Jan. 14 at her home in Bowie. She had Parkin­son’s dis­ease.

Mrs. Lein­bach was born Luise Ap­prich in Read­ing, Pa. She was a Penn­syl­va­nia home­maker be­fore set­tling in the Washington area in the early 1960s.

Her hus­band, Paul B. Lein­bach Jr., died in 1993. Their son Paul Lein­bach III died in 2005.

Sur­vivors in­clude two chil­dren, Linda Grosser of La­guna Hills, Calif., and Nick Lein­bach of Bowie; two sis­ters; eight grand­chil­dren; and seven great-grand­chil­dren.
