A June 6 ar­ti­cle about prob­lems in a fed­eral in­ves­ti­ga­tion of a lethal de­fect in a Gen­eral Mo­tors au­to­mo­bile ig­ni­tion switch in­cor­rectly quoted U.S. Trans­porta­tion Sec­re­tary An­thony Foxx as say­ing that “de­fec­tive agen­cies, like de­fec­tive peo­ple, need the ca­pac­ity for self-re­flec­tion and to make room for self­im­prove­ment.” Foxx said that “ef­fec­tive agen­cies, like ef­fec­tive peo­ple, need the ca­pac­ity for self-re­flec­tion and to make room for self­im­prove­ment.”
