Doe responds to fawn’s call
ALABAMA AVENUE SE, 4100 block, June 7. The Washington Humane Society received a call about a fawn that had been in the same spot for two days. A society officer found the approximately two-day-old fawn, which a boy had seen nursing earlier in the day. To see if the mother was nearby, the officer picked up the fawn to make it call out. After the offspring made noise, the mother arrived promptly, and the two were reunited. Among cases received by the Washington Humane Society.
