Doe re­sponds to fawn’s call

ALABAMA AV­ENUE SE, 4100 block, June 7. The Washington Hu­mane So­ci­ety re­ceived a call about a fawn that had been in the same spot for two days. A so­ci­ety of­fi­cer found the ap­prox­i­mately two-day-old fawn, which a boy had seen nurs­ing ear­lier in the day. To see if the mother was nearby, the of­fi­cer picked up the fawn to make it call out. Af­ter the off­spring made noise, the mother ar­rived promptly, and the two were re­united. Among cases re­ceived by the Washington Hu­mane So­ci­ety.
