Giants: Lead­off hitter Nori Aoki left the game against the Dodgers af­ter get­ting hit by a pitch. Aoki ap­par­ently was hit in the foot by Car­los Frias’s sec­ond pitch. He ran the bases and scored be­fore leav­ing in the bot­tom half of the first.

Mar­lins: Re­called LHP Justin Ni­col­ino from Class AAA New Or­leans to start Satur­day in his ma­jor league de­but against Cincinnati. Ni­col­ino re­placed RHP Tom Koehler, who was scratched with neck and back prob­lems.

Ori­oles: Ac­ti­vated RHP Kevin Gaus­man off the 15day dis­abled list and se­lected RHP My­chal Givens from Class AA Bowie. Bal­ti­more op­tioned RHPs Mike Wright and Tyler Wil­son to Class AAA Nor­folk.

Rays: Starter Erasmo Ramirez left the game against the In­di­ans in the fourth in­ning with a strained right groin.

Roy­als: RHP Aaron Brooks is re­join­ing the staff, and RHP Yo­han Pino is go­ing back to Class AAA Omaha.

Yan­kees: Wil­lie Ran­dolph was over­joyed. Mel Stot­tle­myre was sim­ply stunned. The for­mer New York stars were hon­ored with plaques in Mon­u­ment Park — Ran­dolph’s ex­pected and Stot­tle­myre’s a well-kept se­cret.
