Ar­bo­real blaze’s tiny sur­vivor

GREEN­BELT, Green­belt and Good Luck roads, June 10. An­i­mal man­age­ment re­ceived a call from a po­lice of­fi­cer at the scene of a fire where an an­i­mal was re­port­edly in­jured. An an­i­mal con­trol of­fi­cer found a baby rac­coon that was not in­jured, but it had been or­phaned when its fam­ily was in­side a tree that had caught fire. The rac­coon was taken to a wildlife sanc­tu­ary. Among cases re­ceived by the Prince Ge­orge’s County An­i­mal Man­age­ment Di­vi­sion.
