John R. Jenkins, salesman
John R. Jenkins, 67, a former Alexandria, Va., resident and salesman for what then was Stanford Paper Co. in Washington, died June 2 at a health-care center in Paradise, Calif. The cause was lung cancer, said a son, John J. Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins was born in Newport News, Va., and moved to the Washington area in 1966, beginning his career at Stanford Paper as a stock boy. Later, he became a paper salesman to magazines and other publications. After leaving the company in 1995, he moved to Arkansas and then to Chico, Calif.
