David Conn, FTC lawyer
David Conn, 59, a lawyer with the Federal Trade Commission from 1985 until his death, died June 4 at his mother’s home in Silver Spring, Md. The cause was complications related to a heart ailment, said his partner, Betty Sellers.
Mr. Conn, a resident of North Bethesda, Md., was born in Washington. He was a tenants rights activist, a probono legal adviser tothe Tenant Organization Political Action Committee and a co-founder of the Tenant Action Network. At the FTC, he worked in the anti-competitive practices division of the bureau of competition.
