Dorothy Dutky, vol­un­teer, ad­vo­cate

Dorothy Dutky, 101, a mem­ber and vol­un­teer with the League of Women Vot­ers and the Prince Ge­orge’s County Women’s Po­lit­i­cal Cau­cus, died June 13 at an as­sisted liv­ing cen­ter in Sil­ver Spring, Md. The cause was car­diac ar­rest, said a son, Steve Dutky.

Mrs. Dutky was born Dorothy Sonn in Cleve­land and moved to the Washington area in 1952. She worked on po­lit­i­cal races, in­clud­ing those of Reps. Gla­dys Spell­man (D-Md.) and Carl­ton R. Sick­les (D-Md.).
