Washington Mystics vs. Chicago Sky
Where: Verizon Center, 4 p.m. Records: Mystics, 5-3; Sky, 5-3.
Rebounding concerns: The Mystics are coming off a 72-69 loss to the Atlanta Dream on Friday in which they were outrebounded by double digits, 34-24, for a second consecutive game. Washington yielded 15 offensive rebounds to the Dream in losing for the first time on the road. Injury update: Center Kia Vaughn is listed as out for Sunday’s game while she continues to recover from concussion symptoms. Vaughn has played in one game this season and has missed the past five in a row. Forward Armintie Herrington has missed the past two games with a sore back and is a game-time decision as the Mystics play their second of seven straight games against Eastern Conference opponents.
Scouting the Sky: Chicago has won three in a row to pull into a tie for second place with the Mystics in the East. WNBA scoring leader Elena Delle Donne was limited to a season-low 14 points in Friday’s 83-77 victory over the Indiana Fever just two days after scoring a career-high 45 during a 100-96 overtime win against the Dream.
