Joaquin Benoit, Padres; Aroldis Chapman, Reds; Trevor Rosenthal, Cardinals; Mark Melancon, Pirates; Will Smith, Brewers; Drew Storen, Nationals
If the NL leads in the late innings, Chapman should get the chance to close it out in his home park given his 16 saves in 17 opportunities, 1.83 ERA and 60 strikeouts in 341/
3 innings. Rosenthal, though, has been more than his equal with a 0.72 ERA, 1.045 WHIP and just one blown save. Storen (24 saves in 26 chances) has a 2.03 ERA despite having given up a three-run homer in a 16-1 game in Tampa. Melancon leads the league with 25 saves and has a 0.974 WHIP. And the setup guys have been outstanding— Benoit with a 0.794 WHIP and Smith as the lefty with a 1.50 ERA and 40 strikeouts.
