Dog found af­ter truck ac­ci­dent

FORESTVILLE, Cap­i­tal Belt­way at Penn­syl­va­nia Av­enue, June 10. A trac­tor trailer over­turned near the Penn­syl­va­nia Av­enue exit on the Belt­way, spilling pota­toes. The driver was taken to Mary­land Shock Trauma Cen­ter in Bal­ti­more with an arm in­jury. A fe­male pit bull mix named Sassy, who was rid­ing in the ve­hi­cle, was not found at the scene. The next day, a worker at a con­struc­tion site in Dis­trict Heights called an­i­mal man­age­ment to re­port a stray dog. An an­i­mal con­trol of­fi­cer picked up the 18-month-old, who turned out to be Sassy. Sassy’s fam­ily trav­eled from York, Pa., to claim her.
