Since, 1992, 1,140 jour­nal­ists have been killed, most re­port­ing on war, ter­ror­ism and cor­rup­tion, ac­cord­ing to the Com­mit­tee to Pro­tect Jour­nal­ists. In 660 cases - more than half of the to­tal - no has been con­victed.
