Synopsis: Michael A. Taylor hit a tiebreaking three-run homer in the sixth inning to give the Nationals a three-run lead, but inconsistent Gio Gonzalez allowed two runs on a walk, double, groundout and single. Casey Janssen took over in the eighth inning with a one-run cushion and proceeded to allow four runs. He got into a bases-loaded jam because he didn’t get to first base in time to cover. With two outs, he allowed a goahead two-run double to Zack Cozart and later a two-run single to Billy Hamilton.
