Mets 5, Nationals 3

HIGHEST WIN EXPECTANCY 95 percent

The Washington Post Sunday - - SPORTS -

Synopsis: This series finale was a twisted replay of the previous two games and perhaps the moment the Nationals’ season unofficially ended. Stephen Strasburg pitched well, striking out 13, but he gave up the gametying home run to pinch-hitter Kelly Johnson in the eighth. When another batter reached, Manager Matt Williams brought in Drew Storen, who gave up a two-run, go-ahead home run to Yoenis Cespedes on his second pitch, a hanging slider. After the game, Storen broke his thumb when he slammed his hand on his locker.
