Then Man­ager Matt Wil­liams made a de­ci­sion that drew crit­i­cism: He by­passed Jonathan Papel­bon in a tie game on the road, in­stead turn­ing to Casey Janssen de­spite his large work­load the pre­vi­ous day. Janssen gave up the walk-off, three-run home run to Bran­don Moss in the ninth.
