3 die in fresh un­rest in Kur­dis­tan re­gion

Three peo­ple were killed in a third day of vi­o­lent un­rest in Iraq’s Kur­dis­tan re­gion as protesters at­tacked and torched sev­eral po­lit­i­cal party of­fices in Su­lay­maniyah province.

Two peo­ple died of gun­shot wounds in the town of Kalar, ac­cord­ing to a doc­tor at the lo­cal hos­pi­tal and a se­cu­rity of­fi­cial. The third was burned to death af­ter protesters in the town of Qal­adize set the Kur­dis­tan Demo­cratic Party of­fice ablaze, a hos­pi­tal of­fi­cial said.
