Sen­tenc­ing in Army Corps bribery scheme

The for­mer chief tech­nol­ogy of­fi­cer of a North­ern Vir­ginia com­pany who helped ex­pose the largest do­mes­tic bribery scheme in fed­eral con­tract­ing history was sen­tenced Thurs­day to seven years and four months in prison. Young N. Cho, also known as Alex Cho, 43, of Great Falls, Va., pleaded guilty in Septem­ber 2011 to bribery and con­spir­acy charges for his role in a scam in which U.S. Army Corps of Engi­neers of­fi­cials were paid more than $30 mil­lion in bribes and kick­backs in ex­change for con­tracts.
