Nolan’s passing leads way for Hoyas
Kyle Nolan passed for a career-high five touchdowns, leading Georgetown to a dominant 38-7 win over visiting Lafayette on Saturday.
Matt Buckman and Jake DeCicco both had a pair of touchdown catches for Georgetown (3-3, 1-0 Patriot League). Buckman’s second score put the Hoyas up 17-0 in the second quarter, while both of DeCicco’s tallies came in the second half. DeCicco had 124 yards on seven catches and 6, JustinHill also had a touchdown grab and Jo’el Kimpela added 84 yards rushing on 14 attempts.
Drew Reed found Matt Mrazek for a five-yard score for the Leopards (1-5, 0-2) late in the second quarter.
Nolan finished 28 of 36 for 311 yards and passed Isaiah Kempf as the school’s all-time leader in completions.
lJMU 51, TOWSON 30: Vad Lee finished 22-of-29 passing for 233 yards and five touchdowns to lead the visiting Dukes (6-0, 3-0 Colonial Athletic Association). Khalid Abdullah rushed for 149 yards, and Ryan Maglio kicked three field goals.
Connor Frazier had 176 yards passing with three touchdowns for the Tigers (2-3, 0-2).
lRICHMOND 27, ELON 14: Seth Fisher ran for 119 yards, and Jacobi Green added 101 on the ground and two touchdowns for the host Spiders.
Kyle Lauletta threw for 195 yards on 15-of-19 passing for Richmond (4-1, 2-0 CAA), which led 27-0 before the Phoenix (2-4, 1-2) scored twice in the game’s last six minutes.
l WILLIAM AND MARY 38, VILLANOVA 16: Kendell Anderson ran for 149 yards and three touchdowns to spark the Tribe in Philadelphia.
Steve Cluley finished 16 of 28 for 267 yards for William andMary (3-2, 2-1 CAA). The Wildcats fell to 2-3, 1-1.
lRHODE ISLAND 20, DELAWARE 0: In Kingston, R.I., Harold Cooper ran for a career-best 123 yards and a touchdown as the Rams picked up their first victory.
Rhode Island (1-5, 1-2 CAA) posted its first shutout since a 3-0 win over Maine in 2006, 100 games ago.
The Rams, who did not commit a turnover, intercepted Blue Hens quarterback Joe Walker three times.
Justin Rohrwasser kicked field goals of 28 and 41 yards. Delaware fell to 2-4, 1-2.
l CATHOLIC 28, RANDOLPH20: T.J.Tu tone passed for 300 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Cardinals at home.
Lucas Morley caught 10 passes for 112 yards and both touchdowns for Catholic (3-2, 1-1 Old Dominion Athletic Conference). Bubby Morgan passed for 275 yards for the Yellow Jackets (0-2, 1-4).
lMORGAN STATE 42, SAVANNAH ST. 3: Moses Skillon threw one touchdown pass and ran for two more scores to help the Bears (3-2, 3-0 MidEastern Athletic Conference) romp in Baltimore.
Skillon had 134 yards passing and ran for another 104. The Tigers fell to 1-4, 1-2.
l SAMFORD 49, VMI 13: Michael Eubank completed 31 of 42 passes for 337 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs (3-2, 1-1 Southern Conference). Dane Forlines had seven catches for 106 yards for the Keydets (1-5, 0-2).
l N.C. A&T 27, NORFOLK ST. 3: Tarik Cohen ran for 152 yards and a touchdown and threw for another to pace the Aggies (4-1, 2-0 MEAC) to a road win. The Spartans are 2-4, 2-1.
lSHEPHERD 48, GLENVILLE ST. 31: Jeff Ziemba completed 17 of 28 passes for 292 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Rams (5-0, 5-0 Mountain East) in Glenville, W.Va.
