A planned, 300acre, mixed-use pro­ject in Mont­gomery County’s White Oak area — for­merly known as “LifeSci Vil­lage” — will be re­named “Viva White Oak.” The new com­mu­nity is to be ad­ja­cent to the Food & Drug Ad­min­is­tra­tion head­quar­ters.

Go­ing global:

Falls Church-based Com­puter Science Corp. plans to ac­quire UXC Ltd., Aus­tralia’s largest in­de­pen­dent and pub­licly owned IT ser­vices com­pany. The price: $300 mil­lion.

Se­cur­ing a deal:

Raytheon’s Dulles oper­a­tions have ac­quired Hern­don-based Fore­ground Se­cu­rity, a provider of se­cu­rity oper­a­tions cen­ters, man­aged se­cu­rity ser­vice so­lu­tions and cy­ber­se­cu­rity pro­fes­sional ser­vices. The ac­quired com­pany will be called Raytheon Fore­ground Se­cu­rity.
