Texans at Jaguars 1 p.m. JAC by 11/ 2
Another week, another Houston starting QB. Well, it’s always either Brian Hoyer or Ryan Mallett, and Hoyer has reclaimed the job for now after being easily the less terrible of the two over the past couple of games. There’s never any question about who’s getting the start for Jacksonville, but Blake Bortles will have to play through a shoulder sprain that could limit his ability to go deep. Pricey free agent acquisition Julius Thomas made his long-awaited debut for the Jags last week after a preseason hand injury, but he didn’t do much. With a game under his belt, though, Thomas can be expected to start contributing to fantasy lineups as the team’s pass-catching TE. As it happens, Bortles’s injury may have him looking to hit underneath routes more than usual.
