Panthers at Seahawks 4:05 p.m. SEA by 7

The Washington Post Sunday - - SPORTS -

Seattle is a big favorite, which might seem odd given that it is 2-3 while Carolina is 4-0 and seeking a team-record ninth straight regular season win. But the Panthers’ one loss since last November was a 31-17 playoff defeat in Seattle. Making matters tougher for Carolina, Marshawn Lynch is expected to return for the Seahawks following a two-game absence because of a hamstring injury. It’s probably too much to expect Carolina to run the ball well at Seattle, but the division of labor among its RBs could be interesting. Setting aside Cam Newton’s extensive usage in the ground game, Jonathan Stewart dominated the work in the first three games, but in the team’s most recent win, rookie backup Cameron Artis-Payne got eight carries to Stewart’s 10.
