Chiefs at Vikings 1 p.m. MIN by 31/ 2

The Washington Post Sunday - - SPORTS -

Before heading into its bye week, Minnesota put up an admirable fight at Denver, and now it gets a squad that just took a major body blow in the form of Jamaal Charles’s seasonending ACL tear. The Vikings’ defense is sixth in the NFL in points allowed (18.3 per game) but vulnerable to the run (26th at 125.5 yards per game), assuming the Chiefs can find someone to do that. Here’s hoping some readers took heed of my warning in this space last week that Knile Davis might not actually be the handcuff for Charles. Charcandrick West was the subject of frantic waiver claims and massive FAAB bids from coast to coast, and now his new owners will get a chance to see if the RB was worth it. Or will this be more of a committee, with Davis getting valuable goal line looks?
