Cousins has been up one game, down the next in his five starts. On the encouraging side: He hasn’t been rattled by bad plays, has been reasonably accurate (68.1 completion percentage) and showed grit in leading a 90-yard, gamewinning drive against Philadelphia in Week 4 followed by a gametying drive with 24 seconds remaining last week. But he was off on several key throws against Atlanta, failed to spot some open targets and threw the interception that ended the game when a Falcons defender came unblocked and his target, Ryan Grant, fell down. Whether the throw would have been completed otherwise is an open question, but quarterbacks are ultimately judged on their wins and losses.
