Bye week kickoff

The Washington Post Sunday - - WASHINGTONPOST.COM/SPORTS -

The Redskins will have next week off and obviously would like to go into their bye with positive vibes. A win will pull the team within a game of .500, which is crucial as Gruden & Co. fight to remain relevant in the NFC East. A victory also is much-needed because the group returns from the bye with a road game at New England, and that matchup doesn’t carry a high probability for a Washington win. A loss entering the bye will not bode well for the Redskins. Gruden will come under greater scrutiny, and another poor performance by Cousins will intensify speculation over how much longer the fourth-year veteran will get to keep his job.
