Eagles at Panthers

The Washington Post Sunday - - WASHINGTONPOST.COM/SPORTS -

NOTABLE Carolina is riding the momentum of one of the more eye-opening wins this season, a fourth-quarter comeback at Seattle, and can move to 6-0 for the first time in club history. Cam Newton is starting to get some MVP-candidate love, but for the time being, he’d settle for avenging last year’s 45-21 loss to Philly. The Eagles are No. 2 in the NFL in takeaways, with 16.

FANTASY SCOUT During draft season, Jordan Matthews was a relatively unproven commodity but coveted because it appeared that he would be highly targeted in the Eagles’ offense. That has happened, as the WR is tied for 14th in that category, but he’s turned 56 targets into just 384 yards and one TD. After a good start, Matthews is getting less coveted by the week.
