Money to grow: DrFirst, a Rockville-based provider of heathcare technology, said it has secured $25 million in equity financing from Goldman Sachs. With the latest infusion, the company has raised $42 million in financing over the past year.
Joining forces: George Washington University is partnering with Telos, a federal contractor providing cybersecurity services, to create a data analytics research center in Ashburn.
New at the top: Ed Albrigo, a former Freddie Mac executive and chief operating officer for the advisory firm Hilltop Cos., was named president and chief executive for the Center for Innovative Technology. He succeeds Peter Jobse, who announced plans to return to the private sector at the end of 2015.
