Money to grow: DrFirst, a Rockville-based provider of heath­care tech­nol­ogy, said it has se­cured $25 mil­lion in eq­uity fi­nanc­ing from Gold­man Sachs. With the lat­est in­fu­sion, the com­pany has raised $42 mil­lion in fi­nanc­ing over the past year.

Join­ing forces: Ge­orge Wash­ing­ton Univer­sity is part­ner­ing with Telos, a fed­eral con­trac­tor pro­vid­ing cy­ber­se­cu­rity ser­vices, to cre­ate a data an­a­lyt­ics re­search cen­ter in Ash­burn.

New at the top: Ed Al­brigo, a former Fred­die Mac ex­ec­u­tive and chief op­er­at­ing of­fi­cer for the ad­vi­sory firm Hill­top Cos., was named pres­i­dent and chief ex­ec­u­tive for the Cen­ter for In­no­va­tive Tech­nol­ogy. He suc­ceeds Pe­ter Jobse, who an­nounced plans to re­turn to the pri­vate sec­tor at the end of 2015.
