Ryan claims MVP award

At­lanta Fal­cons quar­ter­back Matt Ryan was voted the As­so­ci­ated Press NFL MVP and of­fen­sive player of the year.

Ryan re­ceived 25 out of 50 votes in the MVP race, fin­ish­ing well ahead of sec­ond-place fin­isher Tom Brady (10 votes), the Pa­tri­ots quar­ter­back who will be Ryan’s op­po­nent in Su­per Bowl LI.

Cow­boys quar­ter­back Dak Prescott was named of­fen­sive rookie of the year, and Dal­las’s Ja­son Gar­rett was named coach of the year.

Raiders line­backer Khalil Mack and Charg­ers line­man Joey Bosa were named de­fen­sive player of the year and de­fen­sive rookie of the year, re­spec­tively.
