Ryan claims MVP award
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan was voted the Associated Press NFL MVP and offensive player of the year.
Ryan received 25 out of 50 votes in the MVP race, finishing well ahead of second-place finisher Tom Brady (10 votes), the Patriots quarterback who will be Ryan’s opponent in Super Bowl LI.
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was named offensive rookie of the year, and Dallas’s Jason Garrett was named coach of the year.
Raiders linebacker Khalil Mack and Chargers lineman Joey Bosa were named defensive player of the year and defensive rookie of the year, respectively.
