A Feb. 15 Sports article about Northwestern University basketball coach Chris Collins contained several errors. The first NCAA men’s basketball tournament was in 1939, not 1938. Northwestern did not join the Big Ten in 1953; rather it was a founding member of the conference in 1896. Northwestern’s last winning conference record was 49 years ago, not 39. Collins’s tenure at Duke University began in 2000, not 2010.
