FOXCONN’S UNKEPT PROMISES
In 2013, Foxconn’s chairman said the company would invest $30 million and hire 500 workers to open a factory in central Pennsylvania. The factory was never built.
In 2014, the company signed a letter of intent to invest up to $1 billion in Indonesia. That investment still has not occurred.
In 2007, Foxconn committed to a $5 billion investment in Vietnam but made its first major foray in Vietnam only last year.
