Teaming up: Hanover, Md.-based Keyw has agreed to acquire Sotera Defense Solutions of Herndon, Va., in a deal valued at $235 million. The combined government contracting company — focused on national security technology products and service — is projected to generate $535 million in revenue, Keyw said.
Saying goodbye: The Chicagobased online deals company Groupon has served notice that it plans to lay off 95 LivingSocial employees in Washington beginning April 23. Groupon acquired rival LivingSocial last year.
More money: WeWork, a New Yorkbased provider of co-working space, said it is launching a new $20 million effort to give grants to individuals, companies and nonprofit organizations. The company said it would debut its Creator Awards on March 28 in Washington. Winners will be selected on the basis of a pitch competition.
