13th STREET NW, 3700 block, March 6. A re­port of a large male cat with its head stuck in a trel­lis was re­ceived. An of­fi­cer freed the an­i­mal by cut­ting the plas­tic trel­lis. The “com­mu­nity cat,” which had no home, was be­ing fed by a neigh­bor. The non-do­mes­ti­cated an­i­mal was taken away to be neutered through the Hu­mane al­liance’s CatNiPP (Cat Neigh­bor­hood Part­ner­ship Pro­gram) and re­turned to the neigh­bor­hood.
